The Favourite took home 5 awards at this year’s British Independent Film Awards, including Best Independent British Film, held December 2 in London, England. Along with the 5 Craft Awards won last month, bringing the total to 10, The Favourite set a record with the most wins for a film:
- Best Independent British Film
- Best Director – Yorgos Lanthimos
- Best Actress – Olivia Colman
- Best Supporting Actress – Rachel Weisz
- Best Original Screenplay – Deborah Davis & Tony McNamara
- Best Casting — Dixie Chassay
- Best Cinematography — Robbie Ryan
- Best Costume Design — Sandy Powell
- Best Make Up & Hair Design — Nadia Stacey
- Best Production Design — Fiona Crombie

- Best Casting — Dixie Chassay
- Best Cinematography — Robbie Ryan
- Best Costume Design — Sandy Powell

The film still has 6 other nominations for the 2018 BIFA Awards, with the results being revealed at the awards ceremony on December 2, 2018 in London, UK.
Additionally, The Favourite has been nominated for Best International Film at the Film Independent Spirit Awards! The awards ceremony takes place February 23, 2019 in Santa Monica, California.

The 2018-19 awards season has officially begun with the nominations announcement for the 2018 Gotham Awards. The awards ceremony, presented by the Independent Filmmaker Project (IFP), consists of 10 awards given to independent features and series.
