The nominations for the 2019 BAFTA’s have been announced with both The Favourite and Mary Queen of Scots receiving nominations. The Favourite received a total of 12 nominations making it the most nominated film for this year, while Mary Queen of Scots received 3. The awards ceremony takes place February 10 in London, UK. Joe attended the 76th Golden Globe Awards on January 6 in Los Angeles. It was Joe’s first time attending the award show; he was there in support of his film The Favourite which had 5 nominations, including Best Motion Picture (Musical or Comedy). The film took away one award for Best Actress in Motion Picture (Comedy or Musical), won by Olivia Colman for her portrayal as Queen Anne. In addition to attending the ceremony, Joe also went to a few after-parties, including the FOX, FX, and Hulu 2019 Golden Globe Awards after party and the CAA after party. ARRIVING AT THE CAA AFTER PARTY
Joe attended the annual BAFTA Los Angeles Tea Party on January 5, ahead of the Golden Globes. While at the event, Joe spoke to The Hollywood Reporter about attending the Golden Globes for the first time:
“I really have no preconceptions because I’ve never been there before … I’ve just been thrown in.”

Joe attended The Favourite Tastemaker on January 4, hosted by Matt Bomer and Ryan Murphy, in Los Angeles. The event included a screening and Q&A, costume showcase, and cocktail party.
