Joe attended the 73rd British Academy Film Awards on Sunday, February 2 in London. Joe was there to present two awards. Along with actor Niamh Algar, Joe presented the awards for Original Score and Sound. Unfortunately the full videos of Joe presenting haven’t been uploaded to youtube, but you can see a partial clip of him presenting the two awards below. We’ve also uploaded photos of Joe at the awards show and at the after-party to our gallery.

ARRIVING TO THE AFTER PARTY
Joe attended the 22nd British Independent Film Awards on December 1 2019, in London, England. Joe presented the award for Best Documentary to “For Sama”. You can watch a video of Joe presenting below, and see photos of Joe at the ceremony in our gallery.
Joe attended the 2019 BFI London Film Festival on October 11 in support of his upcoming film Harriet. Joe was joined by Cynthia Erivo, as well as Clarke Peters and director Kasi Lemmons. You can see photos from the premiere in our gallery, linked below and an interview with Joe as well. Harriet is in theatres November 22 in the UK and November 1 in North America.
HARRIET PREMIERE AT BFI LONDON FILM FESTIVAL
Joe attended Toronto International Film Festival to promote his latest film, Harriet. On September 9, Joe, his cast mates, and director Kasi Lemmons did several bits of press for the film, including interviews and photoshoots. Then, on September 10 Harriet had its world premiere, followed by an after party. You can see photos from all the festivities in our gallery, linked below. Additionally, you can find videos from the two days at TIFF, including a Q&A where Joe spoke about his character, Gideon, for the first time (timestamp: 14:38). Overall the film has received generally favourable reviews, with star Cynthia Erivo expected to be an awards contender.
Joe attended the 91st Academy Awards on Sunday, February 24. This was Joe’s first time attending the Oscars, he went in support of his film The Favourite, which had 10 nominations. Co-star Olivia Colman won Best Actress in Leading Role for her performance as Queen Anne. Joe walked the red carpet with co-star Nicholas Hoult, and after the show went to the Fox After Party and Vanity Fair Oscar Party. Joe attended the EE British Academy Film Awards in London, on February 10. Joe was there in support of his film The Favourite which won 7 awards including Outstanding British Film!
